Terms of Service

Effective 27 May 2026 · Last updated 27 May 2026

These terms cover your use of Stashio. They are written in plain language on purpose. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Short version. Stashio is a personal finance tracker, not a bank and not a financial advisor. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and the decisions you make. We try hard to keep the service running and your data safe, but we offer the app "as is" — no guarantees beyond what Finnish law requires.

1. Who provides this service

Stashio is operated by Luis Lundstedt, a sole trader based in Finland. Contact: luis@stashio.fi. Stashio is not a bank, a payment institution, or a licensed financial advisor.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract under the laws of your country of residence.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. Don't share your password, and tell us promptly at luis@stashio.fi if you think someone else has access to your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Bank linking

If you connect a bank account, the connection is read-only and governed by the Revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Stashio cannot move money on your behalf. You can revoke the connection at any time inside the app or directly with your bank.

The technical connection is provided by Enable Banking Oy, a licensed Account Information Service Provider in Finland. Their terms also apply to the data they handle on your behalf.

6. Not financial advice

Anything Stashio shows you — net worth calculations, projections, FIRE estimates, budget warnings, category suggestions — is informational. None of it is investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions based on Stashio data are entirely your own. Consult a licensed advisor before making important financial decisions.

7. Accuracy of data

Stashio displays what you enter and what your bank reports. We don't independently verify these. Where Stashio calculates derived numbers (net worth, totals, projections), we aim to be correct, but you should sanity-check material figures before acting on them.

8. Service availability

We do our best to keep the app available, but we make no uptime guarantee. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, third-party outages (e.g. Supabase, Enable Banking, bank APIs), or unforeseen incidents.

9. Pricing

Stashio is currently free during early access. If we introduce paid features in future, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance, and you will choose whether to upgrade. Existing data remains accessible regardless.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Finnish law, Stashio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Stashio, including (but not limited to) lost data, lost profits, or financial losses resulting from decisions made using Stashio. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under Finnish consumer law.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, which removes all your data within 30 days (see the privacy policy for details). We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

12. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we'll notify you by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled in the courts of Finland. EU consumer protections that apply to you regardless of these terms remain unaffected.

14. Contact

For any question about these terms, email luis@stashio.fi.
